private art lessons

private lessons are for every age group and skill level

Our resident art tutor Patricia k. Hecht has years of experience teaching art in and out of academic settings, including five intensive summer sessions and two full academic years at Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Massachusetts. Hecht holds a BFA in art history and a MFA in painting from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Her teaching background includes courses taught in 35mm photography, drawing, painting, stained and warm glass, ceramics, portfolio prep, and she has spent several summers teaching at SCAD during their Summer Seminars, week long survey classes for high school students interested in art and the SCAD experience.

All lessons are tailored to the individual student, their needs, and what they want from the time. Some students need a little extra time or space for a project, while others simply want to dust off their old brushes and revisit techniques from their past. Homeschoolers welcome!

11 and under : 1hour sessions | 13-17 : 1.5 hour session | 18 and beyond : 2.5 hour max

  • Instant (film) cameras and how to get the most out of them
